Director, GLOBALTEAM Russia
Alexey Verkhovtsev has been working with GLOBALTEAM since 2003 and is currently a Director of GLOBALTEAM Russia. He has successfully implemented systems and training programs for clients in Africa, European Union, USA, Russia, CIS, and Eastern/Central Europe.
Alexey’s track record demonstrates that he is an expert at designing and implementing efficient FMCG Operational Marketing systems that significantly increase client sales and profitability. In 2003 Alexey served as a GLOBALTEAM Marketing Consultant for CERIS Brewery in Cape Verde working to improve the CERIS distribution system, design marketing plans and execute CERIS brand promotions, as well as conduct the GLOBALSCORE Merchandising Audit© to upgrade merchandising execution.
Alexey has also led a team of GLOBALTEAM Marketing Consultants in preparing for the introduction of Virgin Cola and improving sales for La Casera Spanish soft drink brands for Classic Beverages Nigeria. In 2004 he was assigned to a GLOBALTEAM consulting project for UNICER brewery in Portugal – a national beer and beverage market leader --organizing Market Impact Team programs, implementing in-store promotions as well as sales/merchandising systems, and conducting training programs.
In 2005 Alexey led a multi-national team tasked with dramatically improving the Operational Marketing systems of Coca-Cola Albania. In this capacity Alexey managed the development of national sales, distribution, promotional and merchandising systems. He contributed to improving Red Bull Russia merchandising image in 2006 by training front line people and introducing GLOBALSCORE© Merchandising Audit system as the cornerstone of trade marketing development. During 2007/2008 Alexey was involved with projects for Carlsberg and Heineken distributors and successfully developed the organization for GLOBALTEAM Russia.
Alexey holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Nizhny Novgorod University and a degree in Linguistics and Translation from the Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University. Alexey is a basketball, soccer, and ping pong enthusiast. He conducts training seminars in Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and English.
